About the RoleWe are seeking a high-calibre Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a Core Banking System (CBS) for a forward-looking financial institution undergoing digital transformation.This role is mission-critical and requires a professional who can operate at the intersection of technology, banking operations, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.You will be responsible for delivering a complex, multi-vendor, multi-stakeholder transformation program within aggressive timelines while ensuring audit readiness, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram LeadershipLead full lifecycle Core Banking implementation (CBS + LOS/LOMS integration)Define and drive project governance, execution roadmap, and delivery milestonesEnsure alignment with business, regulatory, and technology objectivesStakeholder ManagementAct as the single point of accountability across:Bank leadership (CEO, CIO, COO)Vendors and implementation partnersRegulators and auditorsDrive executive-level reporting and board updatesDelivery & ExecutionManage:Business Requirements & Functional DesignConfiguration & CustomizationData Migration (including reconciliation)Integration with third-party systems (payments, AML, channels)Testing (SIT, UAT, performance testing)Go-Live & StabilizationRisk & GovernanceEnsure:Strong risk management frameworkRegulatory compliance (Central Bank requirements)Audit trails, maker-checker controls, and reporting readinessIdentify and mitigate delivery, operational, and vendor risksData Migration & CutoverOversee multiple mock migrationsEnsure 100% reconciliation accuracyLead cutover planning and execution strategyVendor & Commercial OversightManage vendor deliverables against contractual SLAsDrive accountability across multi-vendor ecosystemSupport commercial governance and change requestsKey RequirementsExperience10–18+ years in banking / fintech / core banking implementationProven experience in at least 2 full CBS implementations (end-to-end)Experience working with platforms like:TemenosOracle FLEXCUBEFinacleOr similar enterprise CBS platformsDomain ExpertiseStrong understanding of:Retail & Corporate Banking OperationsLoan Origination & ManagementGL & Accounting ProcessesRegulatory & Compliance frameworksDigital banking channels and integrationsSkillsStrong program and project management skillsExpertise in Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid delivery modelsDeep understanding of:Data migration strategiesBanking integrations & APIsTesting frameworks (SIT/UAT)Preferred QualificationsPMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certificationsExposure to multi-country or emerging market implementationsPrior experience in digital bank setup or transformation
