This role is focused on managing the operational and finance related aspects of Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) and Portfolio Management Services (PMS). The ideal candidate should have strong accounting, fund operation, compliance, and analytical skills including cash flow, payments, receivables, taxation and balance sheet management. The role requires close coordination with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as custodians, bankers, auditors, and regulators to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities –Manage the general accounting function of an AIF and PMSOversee the maintenance and completion of ledger accounts and preparation of financial statementsPreparation of daily NAV calculation, quarterly financials, and investor reportsHandle trade settlement and client account allocationManage reconciliation of trade, holding, bank etcPrepare MIS including cash flow, annual budget process and periodic analysis of financial performanceCollaborate with bankers, custodians, auditors and external stakeholder to streamline processes and improve efficienciesEnsure all processes adhere to SEBI guidelines and other regulatory requirementsEnsure timely compliance required for AIF and PMS with Income Tax laws, GST, SEBI and any other regulatory bodyManage documentation for onboarding, periodic reviews, and audits, ensuring compliance and accuracyEvaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that the practices are in line with the overall goals of the organizationSkill and Competencies –Degree in accounting and finance with 8-12 years of relevant experience in AIF and PMS operation preferably with an AMC or Fund Management entityKnowledge of AIF and PMS processes, portfolio reporting tools, and financial software systemsExcellent communication and relationship management skillsFamiliarity with SEBI regulations and compliance norms in the AIF and PMS domainHas keen attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to keep track of large sets of informationStrong aptitude for data analysis, reconciliation, problem-solving as well as strong skills with spreadsheets
