We partner with governments, multilaterals, and private-sector stakeholders to diagnose systemic delivery failures, map policy architecture, and design implementation-ready interventions across sectors, including climate resilience, public health, fiscal systems, digital governance, land administration, EV policy, and social protection.Our work is deeply research-driven, politically informed, and implementation-focused. We are building a team that combines analytical rigour with strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate complex policy insight into actionable partnerships.The RoleYou will be the regulatory and compliance authority for the company and a commercial leader who can open doors. You will work alongside the founders, product managers, and ML engineers to define the regulatory taxonomy, prioritise coverage, validate model outputs, and ensure our platform reflects the real obligations Indian businesses face. You will also build the partnership ecosystem and drive business origination, bringing in design partners, early customers, and channel relationships that help us scale. This is not a back-office advisory role; you will be central to product strategy, customer trust, and commercial growth.What You'll DoOwn the regulatory content strategy: which laws, rules, notifications, circulars, and state-level instruments we cover, and at what depthBuild and maintain the regulatory taxonomy spanning corporate law, tax (Direct and Indirect), labour and industrial relations, FEMA, data protection (DPDP Act), sector-specific regulation (RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, TRAI, etc.), and state-level compliancePartner with the ML team to validate LLM-generated interpretations, design evaluation rubrics, flag hallucinations, and create gold-standard datasets for fine-tuning and benchmarkingTranslate dense regulatory text into structured obligations: who is affected, what action is required, by when, with what evidence, and what the consequences of non-compliance areMonitor the regulatory pipeline — bills in Parliament, draft notifications, consultation papers, judicial rulings — and assess what will materially change customer obligationsServe as the senior subject-matter voice with customers, design partners, auditors, and regulators; represent the company in industry forumsAdvise the founder on go-to-market priorities by sector and customer segment based on regulatory intensity and painBuild and own the partnership ecosystem that drives both credibility and pipelineDrive business origination: leverage your network to bring in design partners, early customers, and channel relationships, and work alongside the founders on enterprise sales conversations where domain credibility is decisiveWhat We're Looking For7+ years of experience in Indian regulatory and compliance work, ideally across multiple of the following: a Big 4 or large law firm regulatory practice, in-house at a regulated entity, a regulator, or a senior compliance role at a fast-growing companyPrior experience at a RegTech, LegalTech, or compliance SaaS company is required. You've helped build, sell, or operate a compliance software product and understand where these products are most efficient and what customers actually pay forA demonstrated track record of building commercial relationships — partnerships, channel deals, design partner programs, or enterprise sales motions where you were the domain credibility in the roomDeep working knowledge of at least five of: Companies Act and MCA filings, GST and Direct Tax, labour codes and state labour compliance, FEMA, SEBI and RBI regulations, DPDP ActA track record of reading primary sources — Gazette notifications, circulars, press releases — rather than relying on secondary commentaryComfort working with technical teams; you don't need to write code, but you need to be able to specify requirements precisely and reason about how a model could get something wrongStrong written communication; you can explain a complex regulatory change in two paragraphs that a CFO will actually readPragmatic judgment about materiality — what matters to customers vs. what is technically true but operationally irrelevantQualifications such as CA, CS, LLB, or equivalent are typical for this background but not strict requirementsNice to HaveFamiliarity with how LLMs handle structured legal text and where they failExisting relationships with regulators, industry bodies (FICCI, CII, NASSCOM), or compliance heads at mid-to-large enterprisesExperience in building and managing a content or research teamWhat We OfferFounding-team-level ownership of the regulatory functionCompetitive compensationDirect influence on product direction and customer strategyThe chance to build the definitive compliance infrastructure layer for Indian businessesTo apply: Send a note to with your CV and a brief example of a recent regulatory change you found interesting and why it mattered to the businesses it affected.
