Following a restructuring of our deployment team, we need dedicated resources to handle both the Build and Operations phases of the network split. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and infrastructure integrity as the organizations decouple.Key ResponsibilitiesDeployment & Migration: Execute network separation tasks, focusing on Cisco-centric environments.Routing & Switching: Configure and maintain OSPF and BGP protocols across enterprise-scale networks.SD-WAN Integration: Deploy and manage Cisco SD-WAN solutions in conjunction with campus switching environments.Hardware Management: Hands-on work with Cisco Campus Switching (IOS XE) platforms.Monitoring & Optimization: Utilize ThousandEyes and SolarWinds to monitor network health, troubleshoot latency, and ensure performance during the transition.Operational Support: Balance new /"Build/" requirements with ongoing /"Ops/" support to ensure zero downtime during the split.Site Travel: Travel to physical sites as required to oversee hardware deployment or local cutovers.Required Skills & QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of dedicated experience with Cisco technologies in a large-scale Enterprise environment.Certification: CCNP (Enterprise/Routing & Switching) or equivalent demonstrable knowledge.Protocols: Deep technical proficiency in OSPF and BGP.Platforms: Extensive experience with Cisco IOS XE and Cisco SD-WAN.Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in ThousandEyes and SolarWinds.Deployment Experience: Proven track record of supporting large-scale network migrations or corporate divestitures.Additional Mid-Level Skills for Deployment SupportTo excel in this specific separation project, candidates should also possess:IP Address Management (IPAM): Experience managing IP schema changes and subnet migrations common in company splits.Firewall & Security Transition: Basic understanding of ASA or Firepower (FTD) to ensure security policies remain intact during the move.Circuit Provisioning: Experience coordinating with ISPs for new circuit handoffs or porting existing services.Documentation: High proficiency in Visio or Lucidchart to document /"As-Is/" and /"To-Be/" network states.Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management and the ability to work under pressure during critical /"cutover/" windows.
