Job Title: Deputy Director – Projects (Greenfield Development)Location: DehradunRole OverviewThis role sits at the center of a Greenfield development, owning end-to-end project delivery from concept to commissioning. You will represent the client, drive governance, and ensure execution aligns with defined timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, and statutory requirements.What this really means is: you’re not just managing a project—you’re building something from the ground up, while keeping multiple moving parts tightly aligned.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Design LeadershipLead master planning, design development, and technical finalization in collaboration with architects and consultantsEnsure design intent aligns with cost, timelines, and operational requirementsProject Execution & DeliveryDrive end-to-end execution of the Greenfield project lifecycleMonitor progress against schedules, budgets, and defined milestonesEnsure adherence to project delivery frameworks and escalation protocolsGovernance & ReportingEstablish structured governance mechanisms for tracking decisions, risks, and progressPresent periodic updates, insights, and recommendations to the Steering CommitteeStakeholder & Vendor ManagementCoordinate seamlessly across consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal leadershipLead reviews, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure accountability across stakeholdersProcurement & ContractsSupport vendor selection, tendering processes, and contract negotiationsEnsure commercial alignment and contract compliance throughout executionCost, Risk & Compliance ManagementTrack project budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization opportunitiesIdentify risks proactively and drive mitigation strategiesEnsure adherence to statutory approvals, regulatory norms, and audit requirementsQuality & EHSEnforce QA/QC standards across all phases of constructionEnsure strict adherence to EHS protocols and industry best practicesCommissioning & HandoverOversee testing, commissioning, and final project handoverEnsure readiness for operations with complete documentation and complianceExperience & QualificationsB.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master’s degree preferred)18–20 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or institutional projectsStrong exposure to Greenfield developments from concept to completionPrior client-side / developer-side experience is highly preferredKey SkillsProject Delivery & Execution ExcellenceDesign ManagementCost Planning & ControlStakeholder & Vendor ManagementRisk Identification & MitigationGovernance & ReportingEHS & Regulatory ComplianceWhat Success Looks LikeProject delivered on time, within budget, and meeting defined quality standardsStrong governance with clear visibility for leadership decision-makingSeamless coordination across all stakeholders with minimal escalationsFull compliance with statutory, safety, and operational requirements
