It does not involve troubleshooting or system changes unless explicitly instructed.Key Responsibilities Monitoring & DetectionContinuously monitor assigned dashboards, tools, and alert channels throughout the shiftTrack alerts from:Infrastructure monitoring toolsApplication and platform monitoring systemsSecurity and operational toolsEmail alert distribution listsAlert Validation & EscalationIdentify relevant alerts based on predefined thresholds and documented criteriaPerform basic validation where documentation exists (e.g., known false positives)Escalate confirmed alerts to the appropriate team or service owner according to the escalation matrixEnsure all alerts are escalated within defined SLA timelinesLogging & CommunicationRecord all alerts, actions taken, and escalations in the designated system (ticketing system or shift log)Maintain clear and accurate documentation for audit and continuity purposesFollow all documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation workflowsShift HandoverPerform structured handovers at the end of each shiftProvide clear status updates on:Active alertsOngoing incidentsPending escalationsRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong ability to follow defined processes and SOPs preciselyHigh attention to detail and consistencyBasic understanding of:IT infrastructureApplicationsNetworksAbility to:Categorize alerts by severityCommunicate clearly and concisely in written formComfortable working in a repetitive, process-driven monitoring roleIdeal Candidate ProfileReliable and process-orientedComfortable working independently during off-hoursCalm under pressureDisciplined in following structured procedures
