Company Description: Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS) is a Chennai-based deep-tech defence startup focused on developing indigenous defence and security technologies. It operates as a defence solutions integrator that builds advanced systems in areas such as artificial intelligence, UAS/drone technology, electronic warfare, material science, propulsion, communication systems, and data security, aiming to create intellectual property for national defence applications. BBBS develops products such as anti-drone defence systems, see-through armour interfaces, smart surveillance platforms, and other custom defence technologies. The company has participated in and won multiple iDEX challenges sponsored by the Indian Ministry of Defence, receiving government grants and contracts. Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer with a strong background in electronics and defence systems. The role combines technical expertise with business development skills, enabling the candidate to pitch, position, and sell advanced electronic solutions (EW, RF, surveillance, drones) to defence and aerospace clients. The ideal candidate will have proven sales records, excellent articulation in both English and Hindi, and deep familiarity with defence procurement processes, RFPs, RFIs, and related terms. Key Responsibilities• Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities in defence and aerospace sectors.• Pitch and present company products (EW, RF, surveillance, drones) to clients with strong technical articulation.• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.• Track and respond to defence procurement plans, RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.• Collaborate with technical teams to align product capabilities with client needs.• Maintain strong relationships with defence procurement agencies, OEMs, and key stakeholders.• Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.• Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to management.• Document sales activities, pipeline, and customer feedback for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications & Experience• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering.• 3–5 years of experience in sales/business development in defence and aerospace industry.• Strong understanding of electronic systems, RF technologies, and defence applications.• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in technical domains.• Familiarity with defence procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and government tendering norms. Skills & Competencies• Excellent communication and articulation skills in English and Hindi.• Strong technical sales acumen with ability to bridge engineering and business.• Customer focused attitude with professional conduct.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.• Awareness of latest defence procurement plans and industry trends.
