Manager/ Asst. Manager - SMS & QMS – Interacts with BU management, staff, and external agencies to define, acquire, monitor, validate, and report on AISATS Service Excellence, QMS, and Safety performance.Manage the Quality & Safety performance from an Operational aspect Lead, manage and recommend feasible options to reporting manager in order to meet, maintain and deliver the targets in the service level agreement between AISATS and AISATS airline customers Maintain a set of AISATS data archives. Converts data collected through various sources in information and provide necessary statistics to AISATS management Coach, educate AISATS Safety & Quality team to enable each individual member to perform to the best of their abilities Perform other duties as assigned by reporting manager Participate and/or take charge, if necessary, AISATS activities and eventsSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Manager/ Assistant Manager- QMS & Safety shall Implement and monitor SMS and QMS across end-to-end cargo terminal operations to ensure compliance with the DGCA, ISAGO, ISO, TAPA, CEIV and other standards in addition to ensuring continuous improvement in operations and support functions with consistency in processes which support the mission, vision and objectives of AISATS and company requirements. Implement the Safety & Quality Policy and Manual and deliver ISO 9001:2015 & Safety aligned targets that support AISATS goals through a practical execution strategy. Oversee cargo operational safety controls related to ULD build‑up, aircraft/offload interface, GSE usage, and warehouse operational safety. Conduct risk assessments (HIRA) as applicable for cargo processes including special cargo storage, segregation, and dangerous goods handling. Analyze safety and quality data, prepare trend analysis, KPIs and management review inputs for senior leadership. Investigate cargo‑related incidents, damages, DG violations, and safety occurrences; implement corrective and preventive actions. Responsible for every aspect of the QMS/QC function from Audit Planning, Conduct of Audits, & Implementation, Corrective Action & Closure, Monitoring & Verification, Feedback/follow up and re audit where necessary Implement and maintain the processes needed for QMS & SMS Monitor, measure and analyze QMS & SMS data within the organization and make continuous improvement to suit AISATS operations and changing environment /policies. Determine criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and control of these processes are effective. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of the methods used. Develop a system of identification and traceability of process and records. Lead the team in delivering routine activities and driving adoption of SMS and quality methodologies, encouraging AISATS employees to embed these practices into day-to-day operations. Ensure the protection of data archives and the integrity, security, confidentiality and privacy of data, information and knowledge of AISATS. Promote awareness of SMS & QMS within AISATS. Responsible for strategizing and implementing the Internal Audit plan based on ISO 9001:2015 and review the implementation of the Annual Plan across the company while streamlining the Audits to minimize disruptions/ duplications on operations. Responsible for updating all the company manuals and maintaining the distribution list for BU Initiate and implement the process/ certification projects involving continual improvement and best industry standards. Ensure implementation of an effective system of document and record controls. Ensure development of a system of identification and traceability of process and records. Coordinates audit follow-up and closure activities, to see that recommendations have been implemented or otherwise resolved. Coordinates with Customer Airlines and Regulators for the station Audit. Manage the team in carrying out routine activities and encouraging employees within AISATS to adopt improved ways of working that incorporate SMS and Quality methods. Ensure that a Quality Control mechanism is in place such that operations functions have an active process of conducting self-audits to ensure compliance/conformity to various standards. Ensure the protection of data archives and the integrity, security, confidentiality and privacy of data, information and knowledge of AISATS Support Senior Management - AISATS, in ensuring smooth functioning of the Internal Audit department and document the Internal Audit monthly report for providing an update to the AISATS top level management on Internal Audit activities and challenges. Responsible for managerial review and approval of the audit report. Discuss audit results with management to ensure recommendations are understood, accepted and appropriate corrective action is proposed. Assures that appropriate auditee responses to the audit report are received. Translate documented requirements into functional specifications. Responsible and accountable for overall safety & quality of operations. Responsible and accountable for making necessary operational decisions related to safety and security matters at all times whilst on duty. Perform any other functions as required by the Senior Manager/ Manager/Head – Safety & QualityEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Master’s/University Degree with 07 years of working experience in the aviation industry, including relevant cargo operations exposure, and a minimum of 02 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity. Certified Internal Auditor with an in-depth knowledge of the auditing field.RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Manager / Assistant Manager- Safety & Quality should possess the following experience: Have relevant cargo operational experience across end-to-end terminal activities, including acceptance, build-up/breakdown, warehousing, special cargo handling, and dispatch. Have relevant experience across all areas of ground handling operations.
