Own quality strategy, test effectiveness, automation, and release confidence across run and change, ensuring Guidewire platforms remain stable, scalable, compliant, and fit for business growth.The QE Leader defines how quality is engineered into the platform, not just how testing is executed.Key responsibilities:Enterprise QE strategy & ownership:Define and own the Guidewire Quality Engineering strategy across all BUsEstablish a shift left, automation first, risk based QE modelEnsure consistent quality practices across projects, enhancements, and runAlign QE strategy to CIP delivery model, SRE principles, and governanceTest governance & quality standards:Define enterprise standards for: Test strategy and coverageAutomation frameworksRegression and release qualificationPerformance testingEnsure adherence to quality gates across SDLC and releasesOwn defect triage, prioritization, and leakage prevention frameworkMaintain audit ready traceability and evidence for testing activitiesAutomation & platform enablement:Drive Guidewire focused test automation (functional, integrations)Own regression suite strategy and execution effectivenessPromote reuse of test assets, data, and frameworks across BUsPartner with DevSecOps on CI/CD integration for automated testingMeasure and improve automation ROI and execution reliabilityRun quality & reliability partnership:Partner with ADM and SRE leaders to reduce production defectsOwn quality inputs into incident, problem, and root cause analysisDrive reduction in repeat incidents and change related failuresEnsure quality engineering directly supports availability and SLO goalsPerformance, security & non functional quality:Own performance testing strategy and benchmarks for GuidewireEnsure proactive identification of scalability and throughput risksLead security and vulnerability testing coordination for GuidewireEnsure compliance with Zurich security and regulatory standardsDelivery leadership & performance management:Lead QE managers, automation leads, and test engineersSet clear performance metrics for QE effectiveness and efficiencyDrive continuous improvement in: Defect leakageRegression effectivenessTime to releaseAct as escalation point for quality related delivery risksTalent & capability leadership:Own QE skill strategy: automation, performance, security testingBuild and maintain a strong QE talent pipeline via academy and upskillingReduce dependency on manual testing through capability evolutionCoach QE leaders and embed a strong quality culture across delivery teamsStakeholder & executive engagement:Represent quality posture and risks to senior IT and business leadershipProvide data driven insights on release readiness and quality trendsShape expectations on release confidence, risk trade offs, and timelinesBuild trust in Core Insurance Platform’s (CIP’s) ability to deliver change safely at scaleRequired skills & experience:15+ years in Quality Engineering / Test leadership rolesStrong experience with enterprise scale application platformsDeep exposure to Guidewire testing (PC/CC/BC, Jutro preferred)Proven leadership of automation first QE transformationsStrong understanding of SDLC, DevSecOps, and release managementExperience in regulated, multi-business unit environmentsExcellent leadership, governance, and stakeholder management skillsDesirable experience:Guidewire Cloud testing and SaaS release modelsPerformance testing at scale for transaction heavy platformsQE leadership in shared services or platform teamsClose collaboration with SRE and reliability engineering functionsSuccess indicators – at scale, across business units:Reduction in production defect leakage and repeat incidentsHigh regression automation coverage with reliable executionImproved release predictability and confidenceFaster, safer deployments with fewer rollbacksStrong BU trust in quality and release readinessStable, skilled QE leadership and talent benchCandidate Data Privacy Notice:Applicability of This Notice This job posting relates to opportunities with Zurich Digital International Private Ltd.
