Role Description Me & K is seeking a highly skilled Textile Designer to create timeless, refined designs rooted in Kashmir’s artisanal heritage. This role requires a deep sensitivity to material, texture, and craftsmanship, with the ability to translate traditional techniques into contemporary, globally relevant collections. The ideal candidate will bring a strong design perspective, an understanding of luxury aesthetics, and the discipline to work with the finest cashmere fibres and skilled artisans. Key Responsibilities Design and develop seasonal and bespoke collections of cashmere throws, blankets, and textiles Create original patterns, colour stories, and textures aligned with the brand’s luxury positioning Work closely with artisans to translate designs into hand-crafted products while preserving authenticity Oversee sampling, prototyping, and product development to ensure exceptional quality and finish Research global trends, materials, and techniques while maintaining a distinct brand identity Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and presentation Maintain detailed design documentation, specifications, and production guidelines Key Requirements Degree or formal training in Textile Design or a related field Proven experience in textile design, preferably within luxury, handcrafted, or natural fibre products Strong understanding of fibres, weaves, dyeing, and textile construction Excellent sense of colour, proportion, and detail Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with artisans and production teams Preferred Attributes Experience with cashmere, wool, or other fine natural fibres Familiarity with traditional Kashmiri techniques and hand processes A refined design sensibility aligned with understated luxury Proficiency in design software (Adobe Suite or similar) What We Offer Opportunity to design for a premium, globally positioned cashmere brand Direct engagement with skilled artisans and heritage techniques A creative environment focused on quality, authenticity, and timeless design
