Role Overview The Manager – Student Life will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing non-academic student engagement initiatives across the campus. The role focuses on creating a dynamic student experience through programs, events, and support systems that contribute to students’ personal growth and well-being. Education & Experience - Graduate/Postgraduate with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in: - Student affairs - Student clubs and events - NSS or other student bodies in UG/PG institutions - Proven experience in managing student clubs and student governance structures - Educational background in Psychology, Student Administration, Management, Liberal Arts, Humanities, or related disciplines is preferred - Specialisations in student development, higher education leadership, or event management will be an added advantage - University experience is an advantage - Experience criteria may be relaxed for candidates with exceptional and relevant exposure Required Skills - Demonstrated experience in designing and administering student programs - Exposure to advisory and pastoral care frameworks - Experience in residential life programs is desirable - Proven ability to work with and lead diverse teams across cultural backgrounds - Strong track record in initiating and managing projects with long-term impact - Ability to use data and insights to enhance student engagement initiatives - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for working with youth Roles & Responsibilities - Lead the implementation of Student Life’s strategic objectives and initiatives - Support the development and execution of policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance - Plan and manage student orientation programs to ensure smooth onboarding and engagement - Oversee communication with students, including handbooks, policy guidelines, and official updates - Monitor and manage student programs such as: - Community engagement activities - Volunteering initiatives - Sports and cultural events - Student-led engagements - Coordinate campus-wide events including national celebrations, ceremonies, and special occasions - Ensure implementation of student counseling frameworks and developmental programs - Provide support in handling critical student counseling cases when required - Guide and mentor the Student Council and various student clubs - Facilitate collaboration between Student Life, Academic departments, and Central Services for accurate reporting and data sharing - Oversee transportation arrangements for commuting students and official student activities - Support the design and analysis of student surveys to drive continuous improvement in student experience
