Community Manager Spot On (remote) ️ ️ Searching for professional doom-scrollers (we know you're out there ) Spot On is an independent news startup reimagining how young Indians get their news ️ We tell the stories that matter with clarity, credibility and courage. We're looking for a Community Manager who lives and breathes social-first storytelling and can shape how our audience experiences the news across platforms in real time. You will be making judgment calls on what stories to push and how to engage the audience around them. This role is for people who think in terms of posts, not articles. If you're not already following Indian news closely, this role is likely not the right fit. Full-time 100% remote 100% social video What you'll do Decide what stories get amplified across platforms each day Track breaking news closely ️ Shape hooks, captions and framing for short-form video Engage directly with our community Help build Spot On's voice, tone and presence across platforms You'll thrive in this role if you ️ actively follow news every day enjoy engaging with communities, not just posting content understand what makes short-form video work want to grow and nurture a real audience (not just chase views) self-starter who can take ownership without constant direction What you bring 2 - 4 years experience in social, community or digital-first news media ability to write clear, concise copy on deadline strong understanding of platforms, distribution and audience behaviour solid editorial judgment ability to collaborate in a fast-moving team How to apply Email with the subject line "Community Manager Application" and include: - Your CV - Links to your socials & work - 3 news stories you would spotlight and why If this role isn't for you but you still believe in what we're building, to stay in the loop.
