Job Description

Key Responsibilities Government & Statutory Liaison - Liaise and follow up with Land Department including BLRO (Block Land & Land Reforms Officer), SDLRO (Sub-Divisional Land & Land Reforms Officer), ADM (Additional District Magistrate), and DM (District Magistrate) offices for land-related approvals and documentation. - Coordinate with Airport Authority of India (AAI) for height clearance and aviation-related approvals. - Liaise with Fire Department for fire safety NOCs, inspections, and statutory compliance. - Manage approvals and coordination with: - Panchayat / Panchayat Samity / Zilla Parishad - Municipality / KMC (Kolkata Municipal Corporation) - Coordinate with Pollution Control Board for Consent to Establish / Consent to Operate and environmental compliance requirements. - Interface with SWID (State Water Investigation Department) for water-related project approvals. - Maintain coordination with local police authorities for permissions, verifications, and statutory support as required. Approval & Compliance Management - Track the status of applications, approvals, renewals, and statutory permissions from various authorities. - Ensure timely submission of applications, supporting documents, statutory fees, and compliance documentation. - Coordinate inspections, hearings, and site visits with government authorities. - Maintain accurate records of approvals, correspondence, statutory documents, and compliance filings. Internal Coordination - Coordinate with internal departments such as Projects, Legal, Construction, and Administration for required documentation and inputs. - Provide regular updates to reporting managers regarding approval status, progress, and bottlenecks. - Proactively identify risks, delays, or compliance issues and escalate when necessary. Key Skills & Competencies - Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills for effective coordination with government officials and internal stakeholders. - Good understanding of statutory approvals, government processes, and regulatory frameworks related to real estate projects. - Ability to manage multiple approvals and coordinate with several authorities simultaneously. - Strong follow-up orientation with attention to detail and documentation accuracy. - Ability to work under timelines and handle pressure in approval-driven environments. Qualification & Experience Qualification: Graduate in any discipline (Law / Public Administration preferred) Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience in liaising and statutory approvals in the real estate industry.
