Bank Reconciliation / Payroll Accounting Specialist Location: India (Remote) Department: Finance & Accounting Role Overview The Bank Reconciliation / Payroll Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all bank transactions and ensuring payroll transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner. This role requires strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities - Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies - Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies in a timely manner - Process and record payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international payroll requirements - Maintain payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts - Coordinate with HR and external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing - Prepare month-end close entries related to payroll accruals, benefits, and taxes - Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for reconciling items - Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation and payroll accounting processes - Maintain compliance with Indian statutory requirements (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, etc.) Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred) - 3–5 years of experience in bank reconciliation and/or payroll accounting - Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems) - Strong knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) - Familiarity with Indian payroll compliance and statutory regulations - Experience with multi-currency and multi-entity environments is a plus - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Benefits - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Health Benefits: Comprehensive Group Medical Insurance covering employees and their dependents, along with Group Personal Accident (GPA) coverage for employees. - Parental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave in accordance with company policy along with Baby Bonus.
