Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Astronomy Educator based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Astronomy Educator will be responsible for delivering engaging astronomy education programs, organizing interactive workshops, designing lesson plans, and conducting hands-on activities. The educator will facilitate learning using portable planetariums, astronomy labs, and DIY kits to inspire students and foster interest in space science. Collaboration with schools and other learning communities is a vital aspect of the role, along with adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Qualifications - Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Education techniques to create and deliver engaging learning experiences - Strong Communication and Teaching skills to effectively connect with young learners and diverse audiences - Experience in Training and facilitating workshops or hands-on activities - A passion for astronomy, science education, and outreach activities - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adapt teaching style to different learning levels - Bachelor's degree in Education, Astronomy, Science, or a related field is preferred - Prior experience in science education or outreach roles is a plus
