Basic Functions: Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the United States’ largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Deputy CAD Manager at our business unit located in Noida, UP. Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following: - Serve as a dedicated leader of one of our detailing groups, helping to foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Partner with the CAD Manager to oversee multiple jobs and ensure all project detailing activities meet or exceed quality and schedule expectations. - Assist with planning and allocating resources effectively to balance workloads, meet deadlines, and maximize team performance. - Review structural drawings, 3D models, and BOM (Bill of Materials) for accuracy and code compliance. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and job site personnel to ensure detailed models and drawings meet project requirements. - Review project drawings, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to address questions, resolve issues, and manage change orders to ensure drawings are released on time to meet deadlines. - Stay informed about new detailing technologies and software updates to ensure the team remains at the forefront of industry standards. - Supervise and mentor a team of modelers, detailers, and checkers; assigning work and managing performance. - Perform other duties as assigned by the CAD Manager and/or leadership. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: - Able to communicate in English - Either 7+ years detailing experience in steel fabrication or 2+ years dedicated leadership experience as a manager (people-leader) - 5+ years of work experience with Autodesk Inventor, Fusion, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, NX, or Catia Preferred Qualifications: - 10+ years of detailing experience - Three or more years’ utility structures industry experience - Formal leadership training, management certifications, or supervisory experience in a detailing environment - Experience with resource planning and project scheduling in a construction or manufacturing setting - Relevant certifications in detailing, BIM, or project management Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug – free workplace
