Indicative range: $110,000 – $180,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.Role OverviewWe are hiring a Game Engine Developer to build and improve the runtime, rendering, and tooling that games are built on. The role combines deep systems programming with games-specific craft — making the engine fast, stable, and a joy to build with.Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain core engine systems including rendering, physics, animation, and tooling- Optimise runtime performance across CPU, GPU, and memory- Develop and improve editor tooling and content pipelines- Diagnose and resolve complex bugs across the engine and games using it- Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions- Partner with game teams on engine features and workflow improvementsRequired Skills and Qualifications- 4+ years building production game engine or systems-level software- Strong proficiency in C++ and modern graphics APIs (Vulkan, DirectX, Metal)- Experience with one or more areas: rendering, physics, animation, audio, networking- Familiarity with profiling, performance analysis, and optimisation- Working knowledge of one or more major engines (Unreal, Unity, custom)- Strong system design fundamentalsWhat You'll Bring- Curiosity to dig into systems and turn findings into shipped improvements- Strong written communication and ability to explain technical decisions- A test-and-learn mindset; you ship fast, measure, and iterate- Comfort working asynchronously across time zonesWhat We Offer- Fully remote, flexible work hours- Performance-based bonus structure- Annual learning & development stipend- Health and wellness benefits (varies by location)- Opportunity to work on high-scale, real-world impact projectsEqual Opportunity StatementThis is an equal opportunity role.
