About the RoleThis role is open strictly to immediate joiners only.We are seeking a Staff Accountant with hands-on experience working with U.S.-based companies and U.S. time zones, along with exposure to modern accounting systems and expense tool integrations (e.g., SAP Concur or similar platforms).You will be responsible for core accounting functions including reconciliations, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and month-end close, while ensuring strong internal controls and supporting automation and system-driven processes.Key HighlightsImmediate joiners onlyEST alignment required (Night Shift – IST)Must have experience in U.S. accounting environmentsPreference for candidates with SAP Concur or similar expense management / integration experienceWork Schedule (Mandatory)US Time Zone: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ESTIndia Time Zone: 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM ISTMust be comfortable working night shift aligned with US teamsKey ResponsibilitiesAccount ReconciliationsPerform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accountsIdentify and resolve discrepancies including timing differences, missing entries, and duplicatesEnsure all balances are accurate, supported, and audit-readyRevenue Recognition (ASC 606)Apply U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) principlesManage deferred revenue and ensure accurate monthly recognitionReview contracts, billing data, and delivery statusPrepaid & Accrual AccountingMaintain prepaid schedules and amortizationRecord accruals and adjustmentsIdentify misclassifications in expense recognitionMonth-End ClosePrepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAPSupport timely and accurate close cyclesMaintain documentation and review readinessInternal Controls (SOX Awareness)Work within review and approval environments (second-level sign-offs)Maintain audit trails and documentationEnsure compliance with U.S. control standardsSystems & AutomationWork with QuickBooks / NetSuite / SAP (U.S. accounting environment)Support bank integrations, expense tools, and automated workflowsHands-on experience with SAP Concur or similar expense management systems (highly preferred)Help reduce manual journal entries through automationSupport transition to system-driven accounting processesMandatory Requirements (Must-Have)2–5 years of experience working with U.S.-based companiesStrong understanding of U.S. GAAPHands-on experience with:Revenue recognition (ASC 606 basics)Account reconciliationsPrepaids and accrualsExperience with QuickBooks / NetSuite / SAPExposure to expense management tools (SAP Concur or similar)Comfortable working in a controlled environment with review & approval processesPreferred QualificationsExperience in e-commerce / SaaS / subscription-based modelsExposure to deferred revenue cyclesFamiliarity with tools like Shopify, Stripe, or similarExperience with system integrations (accounting + expense + banking tools)Process improvement / automation mindsetWhat We’re Looking ForSomeone who has actually worked in U.S. accounting environmentsStrong attention to detail with a controls mindsetAbility to own accounting processes end-to-endExperience working with integrated finance stacks (ERP + expense + payments)Interest in reducing manual work through systemsThis Role May Not Be a Fit If You:Only have theoretical knowledge of U.S. GAAPHave not worked on reconciliations in practiceLack exposure to accounting systems and integrationsPrefer manual processes over automationAre not comfortable in structured, review-driven environments
