Our commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned us as a trusted name in the industry.We are now expanding our Metal Bonded Rubber Division at our Paonta Sahib facility and are looking for a Lead Rubber Technologist / Rubber Engineer to drive the next phase of product development.ROLE DESCRIPTIONThe successful candidate will lead the design, development, testing, and quality assurance of our rubber products. This is an end-to-end ownership role spanning material selection, formulation development, testing for performance and durability, process optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client and industry specifications.WHAT YOU'LL OWN- Material selection and compound formulation across NR, SBR, EPDM, Nitrile, and blends, tuned for the demanding load and ageing profiles of railway and industrial applications- Design and qualification of metal-bonded rubber components — primary and secondary suspension elements, side bearers, anti-vibration mounts, axle box pads, and dampers- Bonding system selection and process design (Chemlok, Megum, or equivalents), including primer and surface treatment specification- Lab and pilot mixing trials — cure characteristics, hardness, modulus, compression set, and ageing performance- Testing for performance and durability — tensile, hardness, DMA, fatigue, ozone, heat ageing — and the analytical interpretation that turns test data into design decisions- Fatigue and durability qualification per RDSO, AAR, EN, and customer-specific standards- Process optimization across mixing, moulding, and curing in coordination with production- New product development from customer drawing through prototype, first article inspection, and series production- CAD and simulation work to support design decisions and validation- Quality assurance, technical documentation, batch traceability, and continuous improvementQUALIFICATIONSEducation- Degree in Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field (B.Tech / M.Tech preferred; reputed institutions such as IIT Kharagpur RTC, HBTU Kanpur, MIT Pune, or comparable)Experience- 5–12 years of relevant experience in rubber product development and compounding- Experience in the railway or industrial parts manufacturing sector is a strong plus- Background in metal-bonded rubber, anti-vibration, automotive, or rolling stock components preferredTechnical Strength- Strong knowledge of rubber material science, compound formulation, and polymer chemistry- Experience in testing rubber properties, quality control, and troubleshooting product performance- Proficiency in process optimization and rubber manufacturing techniques (Banbury and two-roll mill mixing, injection / compression moulding)- Practical command of rheometer, UTM, DMA, and fatigue testing equipment- Familiarity with bonding systems such as Chemlok, Megum, or equivalents- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation tools for product developmentWays of Working- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills- Solution-oriented, equally at home in the lab, on the shop floor, and in front of customers- Quality-first, documentation-driven mindsetWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU- Decision-making authority — you set the technical direction- Modern lab and production infrastructure at our Paonta Sahib facility- Direct engagement with senior leadership on strategic technical questions- Competitive compensation, benchmarked to industry, with performance-linked incentives- Clear promotion path — scope to grow into Division Head and broader group leadership- Relocation support for candidates joining from outside the region- A long-term career path within a six-decade-old manufacturing groupHOW TO APPLYPlease share your updated CV at or , or on WhatsApp at +91 92185 44306, with the subject line /"Rubber Technologist — Paonta Sahib/".
