The Branch Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of branch operations in a Full Truck Load (FTL) surface transport business. This role involves vehicle placement against daily indents, vendor management, client servicing, and driving business growth, while ensuring profitability and operational efficiency.2. The Branch Manager acts as the overall in-charge of the branch, accountable for all operational, financial, and administrative activities. Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management - Ensure timely placement of vehicles against daily indents from clients - Manage FTL movements (point-to-point transportation) efficiently - Coordinate with brokers, fleet owners for smooth execution - Resolve operational issues such as delays, breakdowns etc - Develop and maintain a strong network of fleet owners, brokers, and transport vendors - Negotiate freight rates and ensure cost-effective vehicle placement - Ensure vendor compliance with company standards and documentation - Maintain vendor performance records 3. Business Development - Identify and onboard new clients for FTL business - Maintain strong relationships with existing customers - Achieve monthly revenue and volume targets - Explore new lanes, industries, and opportunities to grow business - Prepare quotations and negotiate contracts 4. Branch Administration & Control - Manage branch P&L (Profit & Loss responsibility) - Control operational costs and improve margins - Oversee billing, invoicing, and collections - Ensure proper documentation (LRs, PODs, invoices, permits, etc.) - Maintain MIS reports and submit to management regularly 5.
