We are seeking an experienced Commissioning & Pre‑Commissioning Manager to lead all commissioning activities for a major combined cycle power plant project in Mexico. This role oversees the full readiness, execution, and handover of pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases, ensuring safety, technical integrity, and alignment with EPC and OEM standards. This position is ideal for a senior professional with strong leadership experience in gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, BOP, electrical systems, and control systems within large‑scale power projects. Key Responsibilities Pre‑Commissioning / Mechanical Completion Lead and coordinate all pre‑commissioning activities , ensuring MC packages are completed in line with the project schedule. Review and validate test packages , punch lists, QA/QC documentation, and system handover procedures. Commissioning Management Develop and implement the Commissioning Execution Plan , commissioning schedules, and systemization strategies. Supervise commissioning of major systems: Gas Turbine (GT), Steam Turbine (ST), HRSG, generators, cooling systems, electrical & I&C systems, BOP . Coordinate with OEMs (e.g., Siemens, GE, Mitsubishi) during equipment startup, tuning, reliability runs, and performance testing. Technical & Operational Leadership Lead a multi‑disciplinary commissioning team (mechanical, electrical, I&C, control room personnel). Ensure compliance with EPC specifications, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot issues during startup and provide technical guidance to field teams. Interface & Stakeholder Coordination Act as key interface between Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, OEMs, and the Client . Manage documentation flow, permits, work packages, and system handovers. Provide daily/weekly progress reporting and ensure alignment with project milestones. Safety & Quality Enforce strict adherence to HSE practices during energization and startup activities. Ensure all commissioning activities follow applicable standards (NFPA, IEEE, ASME, API, OEM guidelines). Technical Knowledge Required Strong experience in combined cycle power plants (CCGT). Deep understanding of: Gas Turbines (GT), Steam Turbines (ST), HRSG systems, Generators – Auxiliary Systems, Electrical Systems , I&C / DCS Systems. Experience with OEM commissioning procedures (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.). Familiar with EPC documents: P&IDs, SLDs, commissioning matrices, punch lists, turnover documentation. Required Experience 10+ years in commissioning/pre‑commissioning roles within large power generation projects . Proven track record as Comm/Pre‑Comm Manager or Senior Commissioning Lead. Previous experience in combined cycle projects is mandatory. Strong leadership capabilities managing multidisciplinary site teams. Advanced English preferred; Spanish is a strong advantage.
