Job Description

The HSE Manager will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and to maintain a safe, healthy workplace. This role will operate across two manufacturing plants located in the State of Mexico , requiring strong coordination, visibility on the shop floor, and consistent alignment of safety standards at both sites. The position requires a proactive approach to risk prevention and a commitment to continuous improvement What You’ll Do Set HSE Standards: Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with all applicable regulations. Identify Hazards & Manage Risks: Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to spot potential issues and lead corrective and preventive actions. Drive Training & Engagement: Create and deliver training programs covering safe work practices, emergency response, and environmental awareness. Lead Incident Analysis: Oversee investigations of accidents, injuries, and near‑misses; document findings and recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor adherence to all HSE laws and maintain clear, accurate records to support internal and external audits. Report Performance: Prepare and present HSE metrics and performance updates to leadership and relevant authorities. Manage Emergency Preparedness: Develop, update, and test emergency response plans through drills and simulations. Promote Operational Excellence: Continuously improve HSE processes and strengthen a strong safety‑first culture throughout the organization. Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure shared responsibility for HSE outcomes. Projects You’ll Lead Safety Culture Enhancement: Lead initiatives that increase employee involvement and engagement with safety programs, including recognition strategies. Sustainability & Environmental Impact Reduction: Guide projects focused on reducing waste, emissions, and overall environmental footprint. Incident Prevention Strategy: Analyze past safety data and develop targeted plans to reduce incident frequency. Training Program Modernization: Update and redesign training content with hands‑on workshops and digital learning tailored to each role. Requirements Language: Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required Site: State of Mexico Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are a plus. Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience in HSE within manufacturing or industrial environments, with a track record of implementing successful safety initiatives. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and recognized industry best practices. Core Competencies: Strong leadership, clear communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels. Systems Knowledge: Experience with HSE management systems, digital reporting tools, and data‑analysis platforms.
