Is responsible for monitoring practices and programs designed to safeguard the welfare of all employees in the work environment. Provide technical and regulatory support to the Operations Direction and the rest of the organization on safety and health at the local, state and federal level. Administer the identification and resolution of safety, hygiene and environmental aspects in the launch of new products and processes as well as in the development of work risk analysis and process design focused on continuous improvement. Education and Experience Required Bachelor's degree in engineering or career related and/or proven experience in position (5 years). 5 years’ experience on a similar position. Extensive knowledge in environmental regulation. Software: Microsoft Office. Project Management knowledge. Personnel management experience in a supervisor level (5 years). STPS, SEMARNAT, IMSS & OSHA knowledge. 85% English (written and spoken). Duties & Responsibilities Monitor all incident and accident investigations for follow-up and ensure responsible persons complete their corrective actions preventing recurrences Assist plants on compliance findings, including safety and environmental agencies, at all levels of government. Represent health, safety and environment as a key local contact in front of the leaders of business units and executives of the company. Communicate findings, concerns and metrics across all levels of management and local business sites. Provide training and assistance to plant leaders, safety team and inter-functional teams. Understanding, implementing and communicating global EHS standards and the CommScope EHS Management System to appropriate facility and operations personnel. Ensuring employees, management, supervisors, etc. are properly trained on their roles and responsibilities for EHS Management. Promote and lead other leaders in order to develop and sustain safety and environmental culture across the site. Performs risk assessments and gemba walks across the site to find opportunities of improvement. Work in continuous improvement of the EHS management system and lead projects related to it.
