Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Career Area Supply Chain and LogisticsRole Executes solutions on packaging design and usage and related safety, quality, delivery, and cost.What The Candidate Will DoEstablish packaging and processing specifications at the part number level for new product introductions, cost savings, or other supply chain opportunities.Create packaging concepts using 3D modeling software (i.e. Pro-E)Communicate with existing facilities on packaging issuesPerform cost analysis on current packaging processes and recommend changes where appropriateLead Green Belt projectsReview packaging so parts are protected, shipped, and delivered to the customer in a usable fashionDesign packaging for transport efficiencyPerform containerization analysis, testing, and quotingValidate new packaging and containersCoordinate with operations for storage and ergonomic considerationsResolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packagingResolve issues reported by customers and process partnersDevelop, communicate and maintain supplier packaging requirementsAudit conformance to packaging specificationJoint Process Improvement with packaging vendors and purchasingEducation RequirementBachelor Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain or other fieldIntermediate–Advanced Conversational LevelService Excellence What skills the ideal candidate will have:Knowledge of packaging, supply chain, and manufacturing technologies, as well as various application methods; ability to develop and deliver cost‑effective solutions to significant technical challenges (minimum 3 years).Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorksEffective CommunicationsUnderstanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.PackagingKnowledge of packaging tools, approaches and industry best practices; ability to package products and components safely and attractively; Extensive understanding of packaging and transportation best practice/challenges.Knowledge of company and industry packaging databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.Top Candidates Will Also HaveProficiency in the CREO system; Advanced English levelKnowledge in conducting cost analyses and preparing business casesAbility to collaborate with suppliers to implement packaging and logistics improvementsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to develop and deploy creative, original solutions to complex problemsBackground in operations within a manufacturing environmentAdditional packaging design expertise in automotive or similar industryAdditional InformationShift from Monday to FridayLocation: Plant Santa CatarinaDon’t forget to include a resumé in English in your profile in WorkdaySponsorship for foreign candidates aren´t availableDomestic Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Final details Please frequently check the email associated with your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method.
