We've been a private, family owned and operated business since 1969 and are humbled by the long-term relationships with our customers in critical high-tech industries.Your Role- Review all incoming engineering project requests submitted through on a real-time basis. - Assess the scope and complexity of each request and assign a complexity of classification based on project type, deliverables, product characteristics, and project description. - Identify incomplete or unclear requests and follow up with the requestor before routing to engineering. - Flag requests that require special handling — urgent customer complaints, novel designs, cross-functional coordination — and escalate as appropriate.Allocation & Scheduling:- Assign triaged projects to the appropriate engineering resource based on skill set, current workload, and site capacity. - Maintain a real-time view of engineering capacity across all sites using workload tools and the weekly capacity study data. - Identify capacity constraints before they become delivery problems and proactively surface these to engineering management. - Manage the prioritization queue — balancing requested due dates, business priority, and realistic engineering capacity.Stakeholder Communication:- Serve as the single point of contact for all internal scheduling inquiries from Sales, Program Management, and Operations. - Communicate realistic delivery timelines to requestors based on actual engineering capacity — not aspirational dates. - Proactively notify stakeholders of schedule changes, delays, or capacity constraints as soon as they are identified. - Conduct a regular (weekly or bi-weekly) scheduling sync with key stakeholders to review pipeline status and upcoming priorities.Pipeline & Reporting:- Maintain data quality in — ensuring all active jobs have accurate status, size, assignment, and timeline information. - Produce a weekly pipeline summary for engineering management showing queue depth, capacity utilization, and any at-risk deliverables. - Track and report on key metrics including intake volume, average triage-to-assignment time, and on-time delivery rate. - Continuously improve the triage and allocation process — identifying patterns, refining size definitions, and recommending system improvements.Other:- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth. - Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.Education/Knowledge/Skills:Required:- 3–6 years of hands-on packaging engineering experience, including exposure to structural design, BOM development, and drawing/specification production. - Demonstrated ability to read a project brief and make a reliable judgment about scope, complexity, and engineering effort required. - Strong organizational skills - comfortable managing a high volume of concurrent items without losing track of details. - Professional English proficiency - written and spoken.
