We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Physician Credentialing & Compliance Specialist to manage the credentialing process for contracted physicians and healthcare providers. This role ensures that all providers meet licensing, certification, and regulatory requirements while also supporting HR functions such as background checks, onboarding, and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate will combine strong knowledge of healthcare credentialing with HR generalist expertise to maintain organizational standards and deliver a seamless provider onboarding experience. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the credentialing process for physicians and healthcare providers, including verification of licenses, certifications, and hospital privileges. Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Conduct background checks and support HR processes related to provider onboarding. Collaborate with HR and compliance teams to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Serve as a point of contact for providers regarding credentialing requirements and documentation. Monitor regulatory changes and update credentialing practices accordingly. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience in physician or provider credentialing within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of HR processes including background checks, onboarding, and compliance. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and credentialing software is a plus.
