LOGISTICS MANAGER OBJECTIVE: This position manages international logistics activities and responsibilities involving all company Entities. These responsibilities include managing the following international Logistics activities: Importation and Exportation, Freight-Forward, duties, logistics vendor relations (FFWD, Line Haul (TL/LTL), 3PL and Parcel Delivery Companies) and contracts for service providers. Overseeing importation and exportation of finish goods process tracking from origin to destiny and its administrative controls such as: domestic and international freight (all modals), documentation, transportation, coordination, and fiscal responsibilities associated with import/export clearances for products throughout our international marketplace to ensure compliance and timely movement of goods. RESPONSIBILITIES General supervision and development of Logistics SME (subject matter experts) by measuring performance, setting goals and expectations, provides training and development to build a high-performance organization and consequently achieve outstanding performance in order to contribute with the overall business effectiveness through continuous improvement and industry best practices. Oversee the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost effective and lawful execution of all import/export related activities. Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner i.e.: shipping schedules, letters of credit, licenses, duties classification, declarations, packing, routing, transport and safety documentation. Manage vendor relations, contracts, and rate negotiations with all logistics vendor’s base to include all brokers and service providers (3PL and Transportation Companies in all modals) Act as COE (center of excellence) for the logistics teams in all markets establishing the policies and procedures and setting the bar based on the industry best practices through clear guidelines for: importation, exportation, freight-forward, duties, regulations, compliance. Oversee tracking of products/materials in and/or out of countries in accordance with organizational policy, compliance, and procedures, complying with relevant local, country, and international laws and processes. Manage the process of product shipment, transit and receipt documentations, processing of invoices, calculating of landed cost, and works with accounting to ensure proper accounting protocol is maintained. Coordinate financial and currency processes and transactions in accordance with policy and law/regulations and to optimize cost and efficiency of activities. Understands and adheres to legal/compliance standards included in corporate policies and accepts ownership for accomplishing existing tasks that fulfill legal/compliance requirements. Reports compliance violations when identified. Identify risks related to costs increase in freight and tariffs and seek alternatives and strategies to mitigate them. Continuous improvement mindset to optimize international logistics network for the benefit of the company. REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED DEGREE: Bachelor degree from an accredited 4 year org/university CERTIFICATIONS: CPIM Preferred, broker certification preferred EXPERIENCE: 10 to 15 years of experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : Must be bilingual in Spanish/English Team Builder People Agile Change agent Results driven WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 2 - Low: Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
