An international firm is seeking an Audit Lead to join its Audit practice in Monterrey.This opportunity is designed for professionals with strong experience in external audit who are looking to take the next step in their careers by leading key engagements, working closely with senior leadership, and contributing to the practice's growth in one of Mexico's most strategic markets.As an Audit Lead, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and delivering audit engagements while ensuring high-quality results aligned with local and international standards.Beyond technical expertise, this position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and clients, providing a platform to influence projects, strengthen client relationships, and participate in the continued expansion of the audit practice in the Monterrey region.What you will doYou will contribute to the success of the practice by:• Designing and supervising audit strategies aligned with clients' business needs and regulatory requirements• Applying national and international standards including NIF, IFRS, US GAAP, ISA, and SOX• Identifying financial and compliance risks, evaluating internal controls, and developing mitigation strategies• Managing client portfolios while ensuring the timely delivery of audit reports and project milestones• Leading and coaching audit teams to achieve technical excellence and professional developmentKey Responsibilities:• Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements in compliance with professional standards• Supervise and provide technical guidance to Seniors and Audit Assistants• Apply knowledge of NIF, IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, and ISA to ensure high-quality deliverables• Lead meetings with clients and present key findings to senior leadership• Identify financial and compliance risks and design effective mitigation strategies• Evaluate and strengthen internal control frameworks• Review and supervise the preparation of audit reports and financial statements• Manage client portfolios, including project budgets and engagement performance• Contribute to the growth and positioning of the audit practice in the Monterrey market• Support the development of the team through mentorship and technical leadershipQualification Preferences:• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting or related field• CPA certification (or in progress) preferred• +10 years of experience in external audit or related roles• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency• Strong technical knowledge of NIF, IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, and ISA• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships• Analytical mindset with the ability to deliver value-driven recommendationsWhy consider this opportunity:• Lead high-impact audit engagements with national and international clients• Gain exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making• Play a role in the growth of the practice in the Monterrey market• Develop your career within a global environment• Join a collaborative and high-performance team
