Job Description

Volex de México – Tijuana Site has been a leading company in the region since September 1993. The facility specializes in the manufacturing, assembly, and construction of electrical cables and components for electrical devices, computer equipment, medical diagnostic systems, and other related applications. As part of its strategic growth initiatives, the site is expanding its operations to include the production of harnesses and connectors for the automotive industry. This expansion represents a significant opportunity for continued growth and success for the plant and for everyone who is part of the Volex team. The selected candidate will join the IT Department as a Cybersecurity Analyst , providing technical support to protect and maintain the organization’s information systems, networks, and digital infrastructure. The role will focus on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats while ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and industry best practices. Core areas Compliance & Governance Support and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Assist in internal and external audits, including evidence collection and remediation tracking. Support the policy/security exception processes, including facilitating multi-tiered approval workflows for non-compliance requests. Monitor and report on compliance status across systems and business units. Maintain documentation for security controls, risk assessments, and corrective actions. ISMS Policy Framework Contributes to the development, review, and maintenance of ISMS policies, procedures, and guidelines. Support awareness and training on ISMS policies across the organization. Assist in the review and enhancement of policies, processes, and controls to mitigate cyber risks. Participate in risk management activities including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning. Cybersecurity Tools & Operations Provide operational support for cybersecurity tools including XDR platforms, vulnerability scanners, and patch management systems. Monitor alerts and logs from security tools, investigate incidents, and escalate as necessary. Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on compliance and security operations. Experience working with ISMS frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance. Hands-on experience with XDR platforms and patch management tools. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and risk management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
