About the Role The Mexico Distribution Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the distribution sales channels for Mexico for their respective industry. This role focuses on building strong relationships with channel partners and managing the relationship throughout the entire sales process. The Distribution Manager plays a critical role in driving market penetration and sustainable growth in target regions and segments for distribution by managing distribution accounts successfully. Responsibilities Partner Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors, resellers, and agents. Serve as the primary point of contact for channel partners, providing product, pricing, and commercial support. Organize joint business planning sessions and regular performance reviews with partners. Distribution Management Sales Process Supports distributors through entire sales process from qualifying to closing accounts and once closed, managing distribution process. Identifies potential in accounts by studying current business; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities. Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; introducing new products and services to potential accounts. Internal Sales Performance & Enablement Implement sales enablement tools, training, and product knowledge resources tailored to the industry or segment. Support partners in identifying new opportunities, winning key accounts, and resolving issues by utilizing market data for product positioning. Provide training and support to partners to ensure they can effectively position and sell the company's chemical products. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all operations and partners comply with applicable industry safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, REACH, TSCA), other relevant governmental requirements, and the company’s code of conduct and ethical standards. Monitor and address risks related to inventory handling, customer complaints, or territory conflicts. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales, business management, or channel management experience in the chemical industry. Minimum of 2 years in a sales related role with customer facing responsibilities. Experience working with distributor networks and achieving revenue targets is preferred. Experience in specialty, industrial, or commodity chemicals along with technical product knowledge is preferred. Required Skills Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting and performance analysis. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Salesforce required. Understanding of chemical handling, safety, and compliance regulations. Preferred Skills Experience in specialty, industrial, or commodity chemicals along with technical product knowledge is preferred.
