Job Description

Responsible for the supervision and coordination of logistics/ distribution activities to ensure material availability. Supervises the administration of documentation processes required to import and export merchandise and materials in compliance with federal, state, local or country specific regulations. Supervises packaging development and control processes. Legal representative for Customs and legal issues with government and Customs authorities.ResponsibilitiesSupervises daily operations for distribution, import/export and order processing systems. Software utilization and integrity for Anex 24 and Anex 30 and other customs regulations.Coordinates Customs Authority Audits and reports responses in a timely manner.Coordinates with lawyers and authorities on responses required and information requested.Coordinates with managers to execute the launch of new logistics/distribution systems.Provides training on new systems, standards and regulations related to Customs, Taxes, Tariffs, logistics and packaging.Supervises transportation logistics and customs services in BorgWarner ETTS for suppliers and customers.Supervises Import/Export, pull materials, transportation and inventory needs BW Ramos.Implements improvement actions in the Import/Export, transportation and packaging areas for BW Ramos Campus.Job Profile & Experience International Business, Foreign Trade, Ing. This role will hold broad responsibility for Delivery Performance, Inventory, Material Control Process and Improvements, Supplier Planning and Performance Management, Inventory Control and warehouse management, Staffing for Salary and Indirect Materials team members, people development and profit planning / budgeting.Responsible to implement tools, systems and processes that improve operating efficiencies and reduce cost within plant and supporting supply chains.Planning and Customer DeliveryLead short‑term and mid‑term scheduling activities, monitor and report on the accuracy of production plans and schedules.Manage daily support of production needs such as expediting material, setting priorities and addressing supply issues to facilitate speedy availability for Raw Material and eventually Finished Goods to meet customer demands.Ensures on‑time delivery is tracked and goals are met while supporting operation to manage at lowest possible cost and inventory.Collaborates with Supply Planning Manager to manage capacity requirements planning.Collaborates with Procurement to support material cost reduction goals for purchased parts.Collaborates with Procurement in planning components and raw material from approved suppliers, including management of consignment and blanket PO programs.Inventory ManagementLead inventory control & planning activities including coordination of cycle counts and physical inventories.Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping activities.Manage identification and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.Coordinate scheduling and inventory movement for all outside processing inventory locations.Warehouse and LogisticsManage transportation activities for both inbound and outbound freight according to Logistics approved carriers and financial policies and guidelines.Ensures all warehouse operations have proper material handling equipment and resources to complete tasks on schedule and safely.Coordinates with Supplier Quality group to set‑up and maintain vendor quality acceptance processes.Collaborates with Logistics for new carrier selections and contracts.Systems and ReportingMaintains department KPIs in accordance with plant established targets while maintaining quality at the lowest possible cost.On‑time delivery, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment/adherence, gross inventory and inventory days on hand, transportation execution.Develops budget and manpower requirements for Inventory Control, Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing and Scheduling groups within the plant.Uses materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long‑term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis.Utilizes tools such as Excel, Access for problem solving while leveraging materials planning system as primary tool in day‑to‑day operations.Provides management direction and oversight, including overseeing day‑to‑day material control operations such as inventory reporting, material storage, receiving, shipping and documentation.Leads material planning activities to assure production of just‑in‑time material flow.Implements Lean tools such as Kanban, one‑piece flow, two‑bin replenishment systems and plans for every part.What We Look ForBachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study and 8+ years of Material Management experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.In the absence of a 4‑year degree, requires an additional 10 years of related experience.Experience with inventory forecasting, developing master production schedules, and reducing scheduling variances.Extensive knowledge and experience with MRP and ERP systems.Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical procedures, business periodicals, and journals; write reports and procedure manuals.Degree in Business or equivalent field. MBA preferred though not required.APICS Certification preferred though not required.In‑depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, and distribution) and superior understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant.High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).Proactive change agent and possesses leadership skills to build and maintain a team‑oriented environment.Solid interpersonal skills with ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
