The Associate Manager - Construction is responsible for the delivery of design, procurement and construction support of the international development pipeline in assigned region (Mexico). This role requires regular engagement with franchisees, offering construction support, guidance, and coaching, whilst providing direct management of any company restaurant construction projects in the region. Time– ensuring projects are accurately forecast and delivered to program. Value creation and Cost– tracks and reports project capital costs, working on Value Engineering (VE) initiatives delivering construction cost improvement. Standards– ensuring that the build quality of all our restaurants is to the brand standards. Systems and process– management of project tracking software and project cost databases. Support with the administration of company initiatives. ResponsibilitiesSchedule management and reporting – Own the project timelines and keep the internal system up to date. This includes Franchisee and company projects and covers the full life cycle from design kick off through project close out and restaurant opening. QA/QC – Performs regular on-site reviews; monitors the quality of work; identifies and communicates substandard workmanship and/or items on non-compliance. Follows up until all items are rectified. Cost control and reporting – Manages the project budget for company restaurants and reviews that of the Franchisee’s. Can review and approve progress on site vs a payment application. Supports with V.E initiatives. Franchisee support – Work with the franchisee’s construction, design and operations teams during the design, construction and post construction phases; scheduling and facilitating the necessary coordination meetings and tracking key projects milestones. Coaches franchisees through the execution of their development projects. This will involve conveying knowledge of Wendy's design requirements, providing lists of approved resources, and lending expertise to any part of the development process that the franchisee doesn't understand. It requires strong customer service skills as well as time management expertise. Support with new markets - Ensuring all information is accurate as new franchisees are onboarded into Wendy’s construction processes & systems. Systems and Processes – Responsible for the accuracy of information held in company databases. Support with CAPCOM approvals, planning and pre-construction work on company restaurants and construction supply chain, as examples. Play an active role in developing processes, best practices and project management manuals, reporting tools, equipment guides and others. What We Expect From YouBachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture or Engineering is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience on F&B construction management rollout programs is required. Knowledge of construction processes and techniques, project planning and budgeting, construction materials/specifications, building codes, zoning laws, and contracts. Strong negotiation, communication and management skills. International business experience. Experience with MS office. Proficient in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Expected Work Location (Field)It is expected that you will primarily perform work at Wendy's Restaurants or to other field locations as designated by the Company. When not working at a Wendy's location, you are permitted to work remotely. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
