Job Duties and Responsibilities: § Design structural steel and connections to applicable codes and standards. § Review and seal steel calculations for submittal. § Provide engineering direction to our detailing, design, sales, and production departments. § Interpret contract documents and communicate with Architects/Engineers of Record/Fabricators on product design requirements. § Become conversant in AISC, AISI, SJI, AISC and SDI codes and specs. § Engineering reviews. Required § Licenciatura en ingenieria civil § B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent for Civil P.E. qualification. § Good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred § Prior steel or structural design experience. § Familiarity with relevant software and tools: ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RISA o Tekla. § Civil E.I.T. certification with a desire to become a Civil P.E.
