Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new freight forwarding opportunities for all modes of services. Core business targets are clients with a global supply chain footprint. This role focuses on building a robust sales pipeline, securing new clients, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized logistics solutions. It requires a strong background in international freight forwarding and a proactive, target-driven approach. Duties and Responsibilities: including the following, other duties as assigned. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Develop and manage a personal sales pipeline aligned with company goals. Identify and target potential customers, including cold-calling and prospecting. Establish, build and maintain relationships with clients to include client visits, regular follow-up and meetings (virtual and in-person) to close deals. Engage with existing customers to identify and understand their evolving logistics needs, enabling the development of tailored solutions. Partner with Account Management to ensure the continued development of the customers supply chain to our services. Manage the sales pipeline and update the CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information. Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company. Apply consultative sales techniques to deliver value-driven customer experience. Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure service excellence. Report on sales activity, pipeline performance, and revenue forecasts. As needed, attend industry events (conferences and trade shows) to enhance sales and marketing efforts. Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, having prior experience in manufacturing a huge plus Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated history of sales achievements in Base plus commission environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
