Overview We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team and contribute to the protection of our systems, applications, and infrastructure. This role will work cross-functionally to identify risks, implement security controls, and strengthen the organization’s security posture. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain security controls across systems and infrastructure. Monitor and analyze security events to detect and respond to incidents. Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts. Participate in incident response, investigation, and resolution activities. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security best practices. Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures. Support compliance initiatives, audits, and risk assessments. Requirements Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management. Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs). Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows. Basic understanding of application security concepts. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot security issues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proactive mindset with a strong interest in cybersecurity. Preferred Qualifications Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, or endpoint protection solutions. Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Exposure to security frameworks or standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Relevant coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects in cybersecurity.
