Role SummaryThe Sr. Analyst, Data Science transforms complex, high-volume data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. Applying advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and rigorous analytical approaches, this role partners with product, engineering, marketing, and operations to address high-impact business questions. The focus is on producing reliable, decision-ready analyses that connect data to measurable outcomes and guide strategic execution. Please note that this position can be based in San Diego, CA OR San Francisco, CA OR Princeton, NJ. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average. Must be able and willing to travel on occasion.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problemsAnalyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization, including Medical Claims, Procedure, HUB, SP, SD, LTC and Prescription data setsEnsure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular system audits and resolving discrepancies to maintain reliable datasets for analytics and decision-makingConduct A/B tests, statistical analyses, and causal inference to evaluate business initiatives and product changesTranslate business needs into data requirements and collaborate with data engineering to ensure high-quality data availabilityCommunicate data-driven insights and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDevelop dashboards and data visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business healthStay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and analyticsOther responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related field. Targeting 3 years of progressively responsible experience in data science or an advanced analytics role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.SkillsProficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modelingStrong SQL and Snowflake skills and experience working with large-scale data systemsExperience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and A/B testing methodologiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzureFamiliarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or LookerKnowledge of modern ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow)Background in a specific domain (e.g., fintech, e-commerce, healthcare) is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environmentMust be able and willing to travel on occasion #J-18808-Ljbffr
