We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tax Manager with a strong technical background developed within an accounting and tax advisory firm environment. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a public accounting, tax consulting, or professional services firm, where they have managed multiple client portfolios and handled complex tax advisory and compliance matters.This role requires advanced expertise in Mexican tax law, international taxation, and client management, as well as proven leadership capabilities in supervising technical teams within a firm setting.Key Responsibilities:1. Client Portfolio Leadership.Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate and multinational clients.Act as senior technical advisor and primary point of contact for complex tax matters.Lead client meetings and provide strategic tax guidance.Develop proactive tax planning and risk mitigation strategies.Support business development initiatives and proposal preparation.2. Advanced Tax Advisory & Structuring.Design and implement tax-efficient corporate structures.Advise on mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and restructurings.Analyze tax implications of share transfers and capital reorganizations.Provide guidance on permanent establishment exposure and cross-border operations.Interpret and apply double taxation treaties.Lead advisory in dividend planning, royalties, intercompany financing, and profit repatriation strategies.Provide advisory on IMMEX and special tax regimes.Analyze tax implications of trust structures.3. Tax Compliance Oversight.Oversee and review monthly and annual tax returns (ISR, IVA, ISN, etc.).Review DIOT and other informative returns.Supervise VAT refund processes.Review CUFIN, CUCA, and tax loss accounts.Ensure compliance with electronic accounting obligations.4. Transfer Pricing & International Tax.Lead the coordination and review of transfer pricing studies.Oversee intercompany documentation compliance.Provide international tax structuring advice.Coordinate with foreign advisors when necessary.5. Tax Controversy & Authority Interaction.Lead tax audit defense strategies before SAT and local authorities.Represent clients in administrative procedures and consultations.Provide strategic defense during tax assessments.Oversee tax due diligence processes for acquisitions and restructurings.6. Team Leadership & Quality Control.Supervise and mentor Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff.Review workpapers and technical deliverables.Implement internal quality control procedures.Develop internal training initiatives.Mandatory Experience & Profile Requirements.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance.Master’s degree in Taxation (strongly preferred).Minimum 8–12 years of experience in a public accounting, tax advisory, or professional services firm (mandatory).Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.Strong knowledge of Mexican tax law and international taxation.Experience working with multinational clients.Proven team leadership experience.Advanced English proficiency (required).Strong analytical, strategic, and client-facing skills.
