**Description**:Responsible for consulting on legal matters as directed by the Legal Manager - LATAM. This role will include a broad portfolio of legal work spanning multiple jurisdictions and will provide primary commercial transaction support to the Company’s business teams.**Key Responsibilities**:- Provides advice to the employees in general regarding legal issues.- Conducts legal research, analyzes law, applies findings to situations, and provides advice.- Advises on a variety of areas of law, concepts, practices, and procedures from multiple areas of the business (contract, product liability, employment, commercial, business, corporate governance, etc.).- Drafts, structures, negotiates, and advises on a variety of commercial agreements.- Reviews corporate and transactional legal issues and advises the organization on the appropriate action to be taken to anticipate and guard against legal risks involving the company or its personnel.- Conducts due diligence review for potential acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and other corporate transactions.- Answers and prepares pleadings; obtains, drafts, and analyzes discovery.- Identifies business process inefficiencies and takes action to make meaningful improvement working through business process owners.- Manages activities with outside counsel throughout Latin America.- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business and personal information.- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.- Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to plan the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.Frequently make decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.**About Franklin Electric**:More than just a workplace, Franklin Electric is a vibrant and inclusive community of forward-thinkers, united by our mission to drive positive impact worldwide.
