Proofread grammar, spelling and syntax to correct mistakesStandardize publications and apply Fitch’s StyleRevise consistency in data and ensure it is correctCorrect graphs and tables accordingly to Fitch’s global standardsResolve directly with the authors doubts regarding the text (such as data inconsistencies, Fitch’s Style aspects, or unclear ideas)Check that graphs and tables are correctly referenced through the textSupport accuracy and style standards in the publishing process.Modify paragraphs to achieve a clearer message for the readerFulfill the function of the ultimate quality guardian prior to the publishing process You May be a Good Fit if: Fluency in spoken and written EnglishExcellent writing and spellingSpecific knowledge of the grammar rulesFinancial editing experienceAbility to make deep revisions, capability to focus, and detail orientationCapability to ensure high-quality in revisions, even in short deadlinesAbility to work under pressureInquisitiveness and skills to inquire and resolve doubtsJudgement to apply Fitch’s StyleInterpersonal skills to correctly approach authorsCapability to respect the authors’ ideas and writing styles during the editing processAdvanced knowledge of Word and ExcelExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowledge of financial markets, bond/equity markets and the credit ratings industry will be a plus.
