In partnership with the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high‑performance team while maintaining our values, brand, policies, and operational standards.Your Assistant Manager role will include leadership responsibilities in one or more of the following areas of the business: Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations and Merchandising. The area of responsibility will be determined based on business needs along with your experience, skills and career goals.Model and lead a customer‑first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand valuesAnalyze business trends utilizing all available reporting to problem‑solve business opportunities and take appropriate actionConsistently exemplify, maintain, and foster the culture and values of World MarketPlan for and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by and in the absence of the Store ManagerRecruit, develop, and retain a high‑performance, customer‑focused team that aligns with our company values through training, recognition, and performance managementUtilize all company tools and training resources to educate and validate team execution of key business functionsValidate and maintain all Loss Prevention policies and procedures and inventory management initiativesSupport and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountabilitySkills & Experience You’ll BringProven leadership experience delivering results, customer experience, and operational results in a fast‑paced environmentEffective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quicklyAbility to provide in‑the‑moment coaching to associatesAbility to de‑escalate store and customer situations effectivelyAbility to plan and prioritize according to the needs of the businessStrong sense of urgencyAttention to detailCreative problem solvingSound decision‑making skillsEffective delegation skillsAbility to execute daily priorities efficientlyMinimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast‑paced specialty retail environment preferredAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on business needsAbility to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs. as neededMinimum age: 21 yearsHourly Pay Range is $22.75-$26.75Full time and Part time associates are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan after three (3) months of service. All associates earn paid sick leave.In addition, Full time associates receive vacation and paid holidays.
