Is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Saltillo complex Rail logistics operations related to finished vehicle and rail supplied materials, including the management of the storage, handling, transportation, and delivery. This role ensures efficient distribution from manufacturing plants or ports to dealerships and customers while maintaining cost control, quality standards, and on-time delivery performance. Will interact directly with the Vehicle Exports and the IBT Transportation teams to ensure the Logistics strategy related to both areas in Saltillo Complex.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily finished vehicle logistics operations including yard management, transportation scheduling, and carrier coordinationOversee vehicle distribution from plant, or processing centers to dealer networks.Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, damage rates, dwell time, and transportation costs (for both OBT and IBT operations)Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standardsOptimize routing, capacity planning, and yard flow to improve efficiency and reduce costs (for both OBT and IBT operations)Manage budget planning, cost analysis, and vendor performance reviewsImplement continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancementsCoordinate with sales, production planning, and customer service teams to align supply with demand.Lead and develop logistics team members, supervisors, and yard personnelDevelop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, rail providers, port operators, and third-party logistics partnersManage IBT Productive Material Rail Logistics operations including yard and rail management, transportation scheduling, and intermodal and rail switching supplier coordinationOversee rail transported material supply to plants and external locations.Monitor and control the proper stock levels of rail cars, loaded and empty, and their timely returnEnsure that the areas / suppliers responsible maintain the yards and rail track system clean and in safe conditions to operateBasic Qualifications8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Transportation and / or Logistics Purchasing)English: Fluent conversation and business level writingLeadership and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a team and with other teamsIndustrial Engineering, Logistics and / or International Trade majorPreferred Qualifications10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Vehicle and / or Rail Transportation and / or Logistics Purchasing)English: Fluent conversation and business level writingLeadership and problem-solving skillsAbility to focus and achieve results, and to work in a team and with other teamsIndustrial Engineering, Logistics and / or International Trade majorGood Communication, Organization and Planning skillsCost and financial analysis is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
