You will act as the primary liaison between U.S. finance teams, local advisors, auditors, and banking institutions.Pay, benefits and moreWe aim to attract top talent, so we offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and eligibility for other incentives.What you’ll do on a typical dayOversee all Mexico accounting and financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under Mexican GAAP (NIF) and U.S. GAAPEnsure compliance with SEC reporting requirements, SOX, and U.S. parent company accounting policiesManage local statutory financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting to corporateOversee compliance with Mexican tax obligations, including ISR, IVA, and payroll taxesManage and coordinate outsourced accounting, tax, and payroll providers, including:Defining scope of services and service-level expectationsReviewing work products for accuracy, completeness, and complianceServing as the primary liaison between external providers and internal corporate finance/tax teamsPartner with the SOX team on control design, documentation, testing, and remediation for Mexico entitiesServe as the primary contact for internal and external auditsCollaborate with U.S. finance teams to develop, consolidate, and analyze annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the LTL business unitLead variance analysis and deliver actionable insights on Mexico operations, highlighting risks and opportunitiesPartner with the global treasury team on banking and treasury activities, including cash management, short‑term forecasting, FX, account administration, and bank documentationWork closely with local leadership and U.S. finance teams to provide financial insights that support business decisionsDrive process improvements, standardization, and risk mitigation across finance operationsWhat you need to succeed at XPOAt a minimum, you’ll needBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or local equivalent strongly preferred)8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including controller-level or similar leadership rolesFluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)Ability to travel between Mexico and the United States; must hold valid visas and travel documentationStrong knowledge of:Mexican accounting standards (NIF)Local tax and regulatory environment (SAT compliance)Banking and treasury practices in MexicoManaging outsourced accounting providers or shared service centersU.S. GAAP or IFRS reporting requirementsERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)R2R (Record to Report) and P2P (Procure to Pay) processesIt’d be great if you also haveMaster’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldBe part of something big.
