Process Engineer – Grinding SpecialistPuebla, MexicoAbout the RoleSKF is expanding its manufacturing operations in Puebla and launching new production channels as part of a strategic growth plan. We are looking for a Process Engineer – Grinding Specialist who will play a key role in developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes that meet world‑class standards in Safety, Quality, and Operational Excellence.This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys technical challenges, and wants to contribute directly to the success of a growing operation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate manufacturing processes for grinding, polishing, assembly, and laser marking.Maintain and continuously improve Standardized Work, ensuring full adherence across production lines.Ensure compliance with all assigned operational and engineering activities.Participate in the launch of new products, projects, and production channels, ensuring robust and efficient processes from day one.Support and comply with EHS objectives, standards, and management systems.Participate in the implementation of Engineering Change Management (MOC) and ensure all defined responsibilities are met.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and enhance production flow.Analyze and solve process-related issues using structured problem‑solving methodologies.Lead and support improvement projects from concept through implementation.Interpret and analyze profile and roundness charts, axial play, noise & vibration data.Apply engineering tools such as FMEA, SPC, GD&T, and statistical process control systems.Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Design teams to ensure process stability.Prioritize tasks and decisions aligned with production goals and customer satisfaction.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.3–4 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive (metal‑mechanical) industryKnowledge of bearing manufacturing processesStrong knowledge of Grinding & polishing processesAdvanced English proficiency.Machine toolsCADAssembly and laser markingFMEA, SPC, GD&TProfile and roundness interpretationExperience in project management.CompetenciesAdaptability to changeStrong problem‑solving skillsEffective prioritizationResults‑oriented mindsetCustomer focusWhy Join SKF:Be part of a major expansion phase with new production channels and cutting‑edge technologies.Opportunity to influence and shape processes from the ground up.A dynamic, innovative environment backed by a global industry leader.Competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities.
