OverviewWe are seeking a CNC Programmer with strong Mastercam experience to support the production of composite and tooling parts. This is a hands-on, production-driven role focused on creating accurate, efficient, and reliable toolpaths for 3-axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate can take existing geometry and turn it into clean, machine-ready programs with minimal supervision.Accuracy, consistency, and efficiency are critical. This role works closely with machine operators to ensure successful execution on the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram CNC toolpaths using Mastercam (3-axis machining)Work with 2D and 3D geometry to develop effective machining strategiesCreate and optimize toolpaths, including:2D pocketing and contouring3D roughingScallop finishingSelect and apply appropriate speeds and feeds for common tooling and materialsReview, clean up, and prepare CAD files prior to programmingOutput machine-ready code and verify toolpaths before productionCommunicate with CNC machine operators to ensure proper execution and resolve issues as neededTroubleshoot and adjust programs to maintain production quality and efficiencyRequired Skills & QualificationsProven hands-on experience with Mastercam (3-axis programming)Strong understanding of:2D and 3D toolpath strategiesFeeds, speeds, and cutting parametersAbility to work confidently in imperial units (inches)Experience preparing and validating files for CNC machiningBasic English communication skills sufficient for training, collaboration, and production coordinationPreferred (Nice to Have)Experience operating CNC machinesFamiliarity with Rhinoceros 3D for minor file edits and geometry preparationExperience with VCarve (training can be provided if needed)Basic CAD or 3D modeling experienceWork Style & ExpectationsStrongly production-focused with repeatable, reliable workflowsAble to receive files and generate toolpaths with minimal back-and-forthHighly detail-oriented, consistent, and organizedComfortable troubleshooting issues and making adjustments independentlyAble to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentTraining & OnboardingInitial onboarding and guidance will be providedVCarve and internal processes can be trainedA strong Mastercam foundation is required from day one
