This position is based in Sayula, Jalisco Mexico.Regular domestic travel. Application requirement:Please submit your resume in English.The AR Lead Rubus builds, implements, and scales Applied Research platforms that validate products, genetics, and production technologies in real-world farming environments, ensuring solutions are technically sound, operationally feasible, and market-relevant. Identifies, describes, and deploys Rubus genotypes adaptable to the regions of interest, in close collaboration with the R&D team, commercial team, and external growers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES(Other duties may be assigned) Program Establishment & Trial Deployment Establish Applied Research programs from inception. Identify priority regions, crops, and production systems. Design and deploy field trials.Third-Party Field Trials Work directly with growers and external technicians to establish trials in third-party fields. Select trial sites aligned with commercial realities. Ensure proper execution, monitoring, and data collection.External Collaboration & Partnerships Request and coordinate technical support from specialists. Build collaborations with: Universities, public research institutions, government agencies, technical consultants. Facilitate joint trials and knowledge exchange.Cross-Regional & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with teams across multiple regions. Align research priorities with Breeding, Farm Management, Production, and Commercial. Adapt trials to diverse agroecological environments.Market Needs Translation Understand market, customer, and production challenges. Translate unmet needs into targeted research questions. Drive solution scouting, validation, and deployment. Translate data and observation into useful marketing material.Data Collection & Technical Reporting Oversee data capture across locations. Analyze agronomic and operational performance. Deliver technical and business-oriented reports. Statistical analysis of internal and external trials. Provide training for technical teams.Operational Project Management Manage trial logistics, materials, and timelines. Coordinate internal and external resources. Ensure compliance with research protocols.EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, Crop Science, Biotechnology, or related field. Additional training in experimental design or statistics is a plus.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3+ years in Applied Research, Agronomic R&D, Technical Services, or Field Innovation roles. Experience establishing trials in commercial production environments. Proven work with growers, agronomists, and external technical networks. Experience operating in multi-region programs is desirable.LANGUAGE REQUIRED & COMPETENCES Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Strong computer skills with excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Statistical analysis software, and field data collection platforms. Desirable knowledge in GIS, documentation, and project management tools.
