Plastic Molding Manufacturing Sr. EngineerTo design, develop and implement manufacturing processes considering tools, equipment, layout, facilities and systems to create safe and quality product with a competitive cost and optimum performance. Creates and documents process standards and work instructions, focused mainly on New Products, New processes and Productivity. Analyzes data from manufacturing processes related to time studies, layouts, process performance, CPK, critical dimensions, etc. and continuously improves process performance in safety, quality, cost, etc. Develops and implements strategic vision to area of expertise.Assist problem solving activities related to major downtime, quality or safety issues by analyzing BOMs, interpreting drawings, engineering specifications and can consult SAP transactions to support production in engineering related problemsCoordinate and implement activities or NPD projects with minimal supervision of a senior engineer or supervisor (Engineer & Pilot runs, Pre-production preparation, etc.)Validate critical new or modified parts in manufacturing process with control runs or other tools for the CQP and PPAP processSupports and track Quality System Tools and procedures including SPC, PFMEA, and engages activities to improve Operational KPIs and/or solve quality related problems; maintain work instructions and ISO 9000 and Chamberlain Manufacturing System documentationCreate temporary process deviations documentation (PCOs) for process and material changes when required and implements ECN activities regarding manufacturing processesParticipate in Problems Solving for systemic improvement activities and root cause analysis for Critical Quality issuesDesign, quote, purchase and implement fixtures, tools, workstation improvements, equipment, and processes, etc. to Support NPD, Productivity, new processes and continuous improvementApply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and principles to different areas or plantwide projects to improve manufacturing, material flow and process overall performanceAudit and maintain Industrial engineering process information like Time Study, Standard Work, Capacity, Line Balancing.
