Location: MONTERREY, MEXICO. About The Role This position resides in the Americas Regional Cement Procurement Organization and is responsible for providing Purchasing support for the business areas across the Americas. It is expected that this position would be one of a team of buyers who support the regional purchasing activities within a cross‑functional regional procurement team. Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, obtaining pricing for proposals, purchase order placement, obtaining order confirmation, among other purchasing related activities. We need your skills, curiosity and drive for change to fulfill our goal. Together, we enable our customers to produce the materials needed for a better future. Qualifications and Responsibilities Previous buying experience preferred with 2 to 4 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable. Knowledge of Cement equipment is preferred. Individual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer‑driven, and motivated. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, good time management skills. Pleasant demeanor, good with co‑workers, calm in high pressure situations. Candidate shall have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Organization skills and ability to prioritize work based on appropriate requirements. Knowledge of Oracle based applications, as well as Microsoft applications. Good with data, spreadsheets and data analysis. Understands procurement process including vendor selection and order placement. Knowledge or understanding of bill of materials. Commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations. Blueprint reading is desirable. Experience with international suppliers is a plus. Excellent coordination skills. Strong spoken and written English skills are required.
