Import & Export Coordinator Job Summary: The Import & Export Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing all international logistics operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and supporting the continuous flow of materials and finished goods in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate daily import and export operations (raw materials, components, and finished goods). - Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA). - Prepare and review shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.). - Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers. - Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or discrepancies. - Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). - Support inventory control and production planning by ensuring timely material flow. - Analyze logistics costs and propose cost-saving initiatives. - Ensure compliance with IMMEX, Annex 24 & 31 (for Mexico operations). - Coordinate audits and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance. - Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, production, warehouse, and finance). Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. - 5-6 years of experience in import/export operations within the automotive or manufacturing industry. - Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international logistics. - Experience with IMMEX program and Mexican customs compliance. - Advanced English (written and spoken). - Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
