Job Summary The Junior Planner supports production and material planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials, smooth production flow, and adherence to delivery schedules. The role works closely with production, procurement, logistics, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand in a fast-paced automotive environment. Key Responsibilities - Assist in production planning and scheduling based on customer demand and forecasts - Prepare and update daily/weekly/monthly production plans - Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement and suppliers - Track inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock - Support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) activities - Analyze production data and highlight capacity constraints or risks - Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure plan adherence - Follow up on schedule deviations and support corrective actions - Maintain planning data in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / other) Skills & Competencies Technical Skills - Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes - Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, and inventory control - Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred) - Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred) Behavioral Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication and coordination abilities - Attention to detail and data accuracy - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Willingness to learn and take ownership Education - Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management Preferred (Nice to Have) - Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 processes
