The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team building extremely complex emulators in a rack-based form factor at our local partner contract manufacturers. This key position requires an adaptive learner, a proven team leader, with an ability to work in a diverse cross functional environment with partner contract manufacturers and R&D teams. The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager should have the ability to excel in a high-energy, team focused environment and have a commitment to building high complexity quality products.Position reports to: Product Engineering DirectorLocation: Primarily Guadalajara, Mexico in assigned local partner contract manufacturer sites, or any other locations as assigned or instructed by the Company.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:- Oversee manufacturing of high complexity Cadence Emulation and Prototyping products at regional partner CMs. - Drive the Release to Manufacturing process on new Cadence products. - Drive completion of all procedures and process documents for assembling and testing of next generation Cadence products at the designated contract manufacturers - Debug and resolution of all production issues. - Identify and report quality issues to Cadence and CM Quality Team. - Generate production yield and debug metrics, present, and develop manufacturing knowledge base. - Participate in second source and alternative qualification exercises to improve quality, cost, or supply. - Run NPI product plans on next gen products. - Support DFM and the resolution of all manufacturing-oriented design issues - Ensure products ship with highest quality while meeting aggressive production schedules. - Develop and manage the development of scalable and automated assembly and test processes, test fixtures, and any other processes or equipment that is required for the efficient production and testing of products. - Protect and preserve production line readiness and integrity.Minimum Requirements- BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 7 years of experience OR PhD with a minimum of 5 years of experience - 10+ years working in Product/Manufacturing Engineering of high complexity rack equipment systems. - Ability to drive and work in collaboration with Contract Manufacturers. - Ability to manage team but also work hands on. - Technically lead and manage Product and Test engineers and logistics. - Previous experience with high speed SerDes interconnect (PCIe or SERDES circuits). - Excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Independent, diligent, creative, focused organized, ability to work within a start-up team on multiple projects concurrently. - Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, test flows and new product introduction. - Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, MCAD/ECAD, literate in Python and shell scripting. - Ability to read and work from schematics and device data sheets.Highly Desirable Knowledge/Experience:- Understanding of ASIC build/test process. - Previous experience with liquid cooled computer systems. - Previous experience with high density Optical and Network test processes including Infiniband and ROCE2. - Previous experience with high density press fit backplanes. - Experience with Cadence SPB tools (Allegro, Orcad). - Previous experience with high density Optical manufacturing processes including installing, cleaning, repairing, and testing. - Understanding of electrical power distribution (single phase, three phase). - Experience with PLM tools like Arena or Agile. - Comfortable with Linux environment: admin level tools, and software development tools, scripts.
